Boise State University’s football program, the Broncos, has long been a source of pride for the Boise community. Established in 1933, the team has achieved remarkable success over the decades, including 23 conference championships and two national championships—one at the junior college level in 1958 and another in Division I-AA in 1980. The Broncos have also celebrated seven undefeated seasons, with the most recent in 2009.

In recent years, the Broncos have continued to demonstrate their competitive spirit. The 2024 season was particularly noteworthy, as the team achieved a 12–2 record and made an appearance in the College Football Playoff, finishing the season ranked 8th in the AP Poll. The following year, under the leadership of second-year head coach Spencer Danielson, the Broncos secured the Mountain West Championship with a 38–21 victory over UNLV, concluding the season with a 9–5 record.
Looking ahead, Boise State is set to embark on a new chapter by joining the Pac-12 Conference on July 1, 2026. This move marks a significant milestone in the program’s history, promising new challenges and opportunities for the team and its supporters.
